You can import any existing contacts into Alive5. This assumes the source of your contacts (3rd party software) offers an export feature into a .CSV or compatible format.
- Go to the Contacts app in the dashboard:
- Click on +New Contact at the top:
- A pop up will appear. Click on ‘Import Contacts from .CSV’ navigation bar:
- Use the template file given to merge your existing contacts. Follow the header format in the template file:
- Phone (required) - any US phone number. Can be a landline (non-textable), VoIP, or mobile cell. Any phone number will be imported, only textable ones can be used with 2-way SMS and Broadcasts (Broadcasts will verify non-textable numbers before sending).
- First Name (optional) - first name of the contact.
- Last Name (optional) - last name of the contact.
- Email (optional) - email address of the contact.
- Account ID (optional) - can be an account ID, username, etc based on your own use case.
- Once uploaded the new Contacts will appear for all users of Alive5. If someone texts in and the first or last name exists for that Contact phone number, you will be able to identify them by their name instead of the phone number automatically.
